Oasis

Offline listening

Your sounds stay on your iPhone.

Oasis includes its audio with the app instead of relying on a streaming library. Once installed, you can play rain, rivers, nature sounds, and background noise on a flight, in a hotel, at night, or anywhere the connection is unreliable. No Oasis account is required to listen. The trade-off is a larger app download, but the library remains available when the network is not.

The sounds are already there

Once Oasis is installed, its audio files are stored on your iPhone. Starting a soundscape does not trigger a new audio download, and the library is not streamed while you listen.

Made for places without reliable Wi-Fi

Use Oasis in airplane mode, in a hotel with patchy Wi-Fi, on a train with changing reception, or simply at night when you do not want your soundscape to depend on a connection.

No Oasis account required

You do not need to create an Oasis profile to use the mixer or listen to the sounds available to you. Premium purchases remain associated with the Apple Account used through the App Store.

Why the app is larger

Keeping real audio files on the device takes more space than a streaming-only catalog. Oasis makes that trade deliberately so the recordings remain available on your iPhone without a network connection.

FAQ

Does Oasis work in airplane mode?

Yes, once the app has been installed. Sounds available to you can be played directly from the iPhone.

Does listening use mobile data?

The sound library itself is not streamed while you listen, so playing those sounds does not require an ongoing audio data connection.

Why might Oasis still need an internet connection?

Apple may require a connection when you buy Premium, verify your Apple Account, or restore a previous purchase.

Why does Oasis take up more storage than some sound apps?

Because the recordings are stored on your iPhone. The extra storage is what makes the library available without streaming.
